Naxos Airport

The airport of Naxos is located approximately 4km southwest from the island’s capital. Its IATA airport code is JNX and its runway is only 900m long. It can, therefore, serve small planes only (ATR42, DHC7 and DHC8).

There is direct connection with the Athens International Airport and with other European airports via pre-arranged charter flights.

The airport opened in 1992.

Naxos Port

Naxos is the biggest and most fertile island of the Cyclades islands. It is located south of Mykonos and east of Paros.

When approaching the port of Naxos, you will be able to see the small islet Palatia on the left, where “Portara”, the most famous attraction of Naxos is located. Portara is the gate of the ancient temple of Apollo.

Chora, the capital city of Naxos, is in the same place where the ancient city had been built. The old City combines the traditional cycladic style with the Venetian influence.
